Travis Scott has launched fast foodies into a frenzy with the release of The Travis Scott Meal and a McDonald’s themed merchandise line. The nation’s top burger joint released a press statement saying, “the meal is an unprecedented partnership across food, fashion, and community efforts.”
In what feels reminiscent of a 1990’s marketing stunt, it turns out Scott is actually the first celebrity since Michael Jordan and “The McJordan” in 1992 to get his name on a burger combo. The Travis Scott Meal costs $6 and comes with a traditional quarter pounder with lettuce, pickles, onions, ketchup, mustard, cheese, and bacon. To see participating restaurants download the McDonald’s app to find the nearest location. One slight disappointment is that the combo doesn’t come with a toy…
The Cactus Jack team helped collaborate on the design of new uniforms for McDonald’s employees across the nation. Also, Scott released an extensive merchandise line on his site with a grand total of 48 items. Some of the merch includes an “I’m Lovin’ It” hoodie, “Tell’em Jack Sent You” tee, and a $90 chicken nugget body pillow. Prices are listed from $25 to a humbling $300.
The Astroworld rapper added “I couldn’t be more excited to bring the Cactus Jack X McDonald’s collaboration to life” and “we are bringing together two iconic worlds, including a charitable component was key for me, and I can’t wait for people to see what we have here.”
The Travis Scott Meal will continue its fast food run until October 4th.
